The Problem
Koffee Pirates contacted Barrier Group after being recommended by a previous client in the Ballarat Motorcycle industry. At the time, since Koffee Pirates moved from their shed to the current location, they had outgrown and needed to relocate to a new premises a few doors down the street.
Koffee Pirates wanted their new store to be safe and secure because of increased break-ins in the Melbourne and Ballarat areas. They had a previous incident where a car crashed through their front window, so they wanted to take extra precautions before opening.
After our first meeting with Serhan (Owner of Koffee Pirates), we were quick onto the job to help this small Ballarat business with a safety solution that would allow them to focus solely on opening their new store location.
The Solution
The plan was to install 3 of our key-operated Removable Bollards that are designed to combat 'ram-raids' on small businesses. This would help Koffee Pirates protect their assets whilst being able to remove the Bollards easily when the store is trading.
We drove to Ballarat to give Koffee Pirates a free on-site consultation to ensure that we could find a solution to meet Koffee Pirates' needs. We identified that the Bollards were to be installed on the footpath. We also knew this installation would be conducted on a busy street with other services operating in the area.
The Challenges
Before starting the installation, our installation team scanned the area to prevent electrical or pipe damage. We closed off part of the sidewalk to protect pedestrians from potential safety hazards.
The next step was to start the drilling process. This was when we encountered a challenge with a concrete slab underneath the asphalt that we weren't initially aware of. Ultimately, it meant we required the use of the Jack Hammer to get the concrete slab out.
We installed the bollards successfully and provided Koffee Pirates with a demonstration of how to use them.
Client Response
Koffee Pirates can now move to a new location in Ballarat with safety barriers in place. This will help protect their store and valuable assets from potential break-ins. The improved security measures gave them peace of mind.
This newfound sense of security allowed Koffee Pirates to focus on growing their business and contributing positively to the community without the distractions and stresses that come from worrying about potential threats. Overall, the increased safety measures have positively impacted the store owners' ability to serve the Ballarat community effectively and without fear.
By partnering with Barrier Group, Koffee Pirates can ensure that they can grow their Ballarat coffee business with their valuable coffee machines and equipment protected.
