Tactile Pad 300x300mm
Durable Tactile Pads TGSI's Aiding Pedestrians With Vision Impairments And Disabilities
Tactile Pads, or tactile ground surface indicators (TGSIs), are designed to aid pedestrians with vision impairments. Tactile Pads are tiles with raised patterns that warn of upcoming hazards or guide a specific direction.
Tactile Pads are used in a variety of public transport, industrial and commercial environments to warn pedestrians of edges, safe zones, elevation changes, and directions towards amenities and exits. These spaces include train platforms, bus stops, pedestrian crossings, building entrances, gyms, shopping centres, and shared spaces.
The peel-and-stick nature of 300x300mm Tactile Pads means they are easy to install by simply preparing the surface, peeling the backing sheet, and sticking it to your intended location. They are a necessary part of inclusive urban design and help individuals navigate public spaces safely and independently.
Note:
Tactile indicators must be installed according to AS/NZS 1428.4.1:2009 standards, which ensure accessibility for people with disabilities. These standards are supported by the National Construction Code (NCC), Building Code of Australia (BCA), and the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA), all of which require buildings and facilities to provide reasonable access and meet mobility and accessibility needs.-
