The Problem
Goodman Fielder required upgrades and additional safety guardrail and safety gates in one of their Victorian plants. The job would also require professional line marking to highlight internal pedestrian walkways for ultimate employee safety.
The Solution
After visiting the Goodman Fielder site, it was apparent that a range of different safety solutions would be required to achieve the customers desired outcome. Within those specific product ranges proposed, variations of design styles and applications would also be required. Both swing gates and roller gates were employed, along with various styes of handrail and guardrail.
The Challenges
The sole challenge was not disrupting workers while they went about their daily business. Operations needed to continue while installation and line marking painting was taking place. The Barrier Group installation team discussed a rollout plan with the Goodman Fielder team and initiated a system of working in allocated sections throughout the day. This allowed both parties to continue operations and not delay the installation and Linemarking required.
Client Response
Goodman Fielder was very happy with the overall result and with Barrier Groups ability to ensure that ‘business as usual’ was able to be maintained throughout the installation procedure. Following these initial works, Barrier Group was employed to install product, and undertake further Linemarking, in two more sections of the facility.
